MILLER COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - It's one of the most popular oxbow fishing destinations in the region and provides first-rate fishing opportunities for bluegills, redear sunfish, crappies, channel catfish and largemouth bass.

And speaking of big catches, Johnny Paul Hicks knows how to land a big one. His wife uploaded a great picture to the Fishin' with Liz gallery. He caught a monster catfish at Holla Bend in Dardanelle. It weighed 25 pounds.

T.K. Wilson from Prattsville sent in a nice picture too. While fishing on Lake DeGray in July, a huge school of hybrid bass came up close and he was able to catch this 16 pounder. T.K. says she stripped out almost all of his line before wearing down. It took him about 10 minutes for him to land her.

Officer Bruce Jones with the Little Rock Police Department who's featured in our weekly Capital City Cold Case series sent me some great pictures this one of his son Spencer. He was fishing at Lake Willastein in Maumelle and caught this bass with a red worm.  And Officer Jones' nephew loves to fish as well. Walker Jones reeled in a 7 1/2 pound bass at a reservoir in Alport which is close to England.

And finally, a very familiar face here at Today's THV. He doesn't just land the great stories, he can also reel in a great catch. While on vacation on Lake of the Woods, Ontario, Canada, Max Seigle caught a nice 30 inch walleye.

Remember, we want to see your great catches and hear your fish tales. Upload your pictures and videos to our website, today's thv dot com. Look for the Connect Tab at the top of our home page. A drop down menu will appear, just click on upload. And don't forget to type in your fish tale: who, what, when, how big and where?
