The Little Rock Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #17 having recognized the difficult economic times incurred by the City of Little Rock have voted by over 4-1 to defer their contracted 4% cost of living increase until July of 2010.
The relationship between the City of Little Rock and the Little Rock FOP exists to achieve and maintain harmonious relations between management and labor. This decisive vote shows how this relationship maintains a spirit of cooperation and a willingness to work together to best serve its members and the community.
The Executive Board of the Little Rock Fraternal Order of Police recognizes the sacrifice its members and their families have made by having made a tough decision in these difficult times. The FOP will work tirelessly in the upcoming months with the City Manager to establish a fair and equitable solution for their sacrifice. Again the members of this organization have shown why they are called Little Rock's finest.
