Brown was found lying in the front yard of the residence with a single gunshot wound to the chest. He was unresponsive and not breathing.

Detectives say Brown had been standing at the passenger door of a grey Cadillac in the driveway of the residence on N. Myrtle Street. The driver of the car was later identified as Cory O'neil.

Police say witnesses saw him arguing with Brown over some money and some car rims. When Brown reportedly tried to pull out the driver side window, O'neil allegedly fired one round from a 9mm semiautomatic handgun through the open driver's side window- striking Brown. The weapon used in the homicide was recovered at the scene.

Officers tell Today's THV that O'neil was at the scene of the shooting when police arrived and was arrested without incident. He was transported to the detective office to be interviewed.

O'neil has been charged on Probable Cause for 1st Degree Murder and transported to a Jefferson County Detention Facility pending formal charges being filed by the Prosecuting Attorney's Office.

This is Pine Bluff's 13th homicide of 2009.
