The Union Rescue Mission will implement a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Program for Women at the Dorcas House beginning in October.

Like the Men's Drug and Alcohol Recovery Program offered by the Mission, the women's program will be an extended-care, nine-month residential program.

The Dorcas House will accept 22 residents into the rehab portion of the house after the women have successfully completed the detoxification process.

Dr. William Tollett, Executive Director, recognized a need for this type of programming due to the rise in chemically-dependent women in Central Arkansas.
