One little girl's lemonade stand is making its way around central Arkansas. She's not trying to get money to buy a new toy. She wants to help fight hunger in Africa. Ten-year-old Emily Bullington of Conway got the idea after hearing missionaries speak at her church.

After Emily heard those missionaries speak she told her mom she couldn't sleep. She felt burdened to do something to help the people in Kenya. So with that she bought some ?Country Time Lemonade? and started stirring. The Conway girl hasn't stopped since.

The 10-year-old is on her own mission. It a one cup of lemonade at a time effort to put an end to hunger in Kenya. After hearing the missionaries from the Seeds Ministry speak at her church, Emily knew she had to do something.

Bullington says, "I felt very burdened. I had this big lump in my throat. I was very sad." Her mom Kelly says, "I was really touched because it had been on my heart and I kept wondering what to do and I felt at a loss and here my 10-year-old daughter had the answer that I didn't have myself so it was very moving."

This week, Emily set up at Conway Christian High School during lunch mand did big, big business. She raised more than $2,000 in just a couple of hours. Her goal is to raise $8,000. She's learned that will feed an entire slum in Kenya for ten days. She's asking for one dollar from each person.

Bullington says, "I think God is opening their hearts and telling them to give more than they're supposed; because I only wanted one dollar and we don't know who but someone put a $100 bill in our jar. I was counting the money and first I thought it was a ten then I looked closely and there was Benjamin Franklin smiling at me."

Emily's lemonade stand has been making its way around Conway. She even has some invitations to places in Little Rock. Her grandparents have also set up a stand for her in Florida.

Kelly Bullington says, "Faith Presbyterian in Pembroke Pines, Florida, the children's Sunday school class loved the idea thought it was so wonderful and set up a stand at their church and raised $80 and mailed it to Emily."

Emily will take her lemonade stand to Little Rock's River Market on March 21st from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

If you'd like to donate to her cause she has her own website, which we've linked to ours. Just click on the link here.

Emily is so close to raising her goal of $8,000 that she may go on to raise $360,000 which would build an orphanage in Kenya.
