So far no serious problems are being reported as travelers around the country try to get where they're going on this day before Thanksgiving.

Over 39,000 travelers are expected to pass through Little Rock National Airport over the holiday, but those numbers are down from 2006, when 42,116 passengers used the airport. For those who chose to fly, most tell Today?s THV they had a pleasant experience at Little Rock National Airport as traffic moved smoothly in and out of the area.

?We got an early flight out of Midland, Texas, connected in Dallas, and beat the rush. Even though the planes were packed, the holiday traffic wasn't too bad?Last year I traveled at the same time and it was a nightmare,? said Phil Carpenter, a Texas resident passing through Little Rock National Airport.

At Newark Liberty International Airport, heavy traffic is being reported around the airport, but no flight delays.

Things have also been calm so far at Miami International Airport, where one passenger said he had booked his flights with a 7-hour cushion in anticipation of delays and missed connections. But he instead found himself with hours to kill.

Meanwhile, Amtrak is expecting more than 115,000 riders Wednesday, about 70 percent more than a usual Wednesday.

In Colorado, some drivers who are trying to get away will have to deal with cold and snowy weather. Numerous accidents and spinouts have been reported, but no major roads have been closed.

Another big travel day is expected at the airport on Friday because many travelers will be on their way home. It?s the second busiest travel day of the year.

If you're traveling home on the ground, or in the air, later this weekend keep a close eye on the weather. It will be a factor for many headed back home.
