This week the dart landed in North Little Rock. There I met a man who has been playing in sawdust ever since he was a kid. He lives to create and creates things to make children's bedtime dreams come true.

Chris Davis creates with his hands. Working with wood is his passion. His workshop is his playground.

Chris recalls, "I?ve been in the shop since I was about five years old, playing in the sawdust, rolling around making swords and actually I used to make little bitty waterbeds out of the scrap wood and use zip lock bags as the water mattress."

Chris has since traded up to the real thing. He's the production manager for Waterful Wonderbeds and Poggys Kids. It?s a family affair. His dad is the owner and a member of the original staff. Chris' daughter even helped out.

He explains, "My oldest daughter, called my dad poppa Gary and it didn't come out right and so she said Poggy, so we came up with Poggys Kids Furniture."

A lot of the furniture in the showroom Chris built by hand. His favorite is the children's line.

He says, "We've done some unique stuff like the Cinderella carriage bed which was really unique. We have another one that looks like a Cinderella castle that I do a lot of. Our car beds are really popular."

The Batmobile is also a hit. There?s also Spiderman and if your youngster likes fishing, Chris has the perfect bed.

"We've done a neat boat bed that has a toy box in the bow of the boat,? says Chris.

And for the little slugger in the family there is a baseball bed. Chris says, "We designed a headboard as a scoreboard, using authentic bats on it where the kids can actually choose the two teams and the scoreboard layout exactly like they want it."

Chris has even built a player's locker. It folds down into a bed. Chris' work is garnering the attention of pro athletes.

He explains, "We've done pitchers for the Cardinals, we've done the owners of the Cardinals, currently I'm working on a special edition baseball bed for a pitcher for the Anaheim Angels."

Building furniture is in Chris' blood - he always knew he would be doing this. Chris loves a challenge.

"If I had to stamp out things all day long I think I'd be kind of bored with it and want to do something else, probably the more difficult the better," says Chris. And he doesn't plan on slowing down. He hopes to create as long as he can.

Chris says, "Talent on loan from God because everything that I have was given to me from God and I'm just borrowing it in this life."
