The former head of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) says climate change and global warming are more than just environmental issues.
Carol Browner, who served at the EPA during the Clinton administration, came to Little Rock to build support for the former president's international climate change initiative.
Her visit coincided with the opening of a new climate change exhibit at the Clinton Presidential Center called ?North-South-East-West.?
The series of photographs are supposed to serve as a visual wake up call to get people to take action--something Browner says is needed.
Former EPA Director Carol Browner says, "I think this is the biggest public and environmental health issue the world has ever faced. I think it's an economic issue and I think it's time for action."
Browner says Arkansans can do their part by installing energy-efficient light bulbs and appliances in their homes. She says people should consider purchasing hybrid or alternative fuel vehicles.
As for the photograph exhibition, it will be on display outdoors at the Clinton Presidential Center until April 22. (See link for more information.)
