
In a new SurveyUSA poll conducted for Today's THV, Democrats are in line to win in contests for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, and Attorney General.
For Governor, Democrat Mike Beebe beats Republican Asa Hutchinson, 55 percent to 40 percent. Since a SurveyUSA Today's THV poll 4 weeks ago, Beebe is unchanged and Hutchinson has gained 2 points. Beebe's lead has decreased from 17 to 15 points.
For Lieutenant Governor, Democrat Bill Halter beats Republican Jim Holt, 48 percent to 42 percent. Four weeks ago, Halter led by 9. In the latest poll, Halter leads by 6.
For Secretary of State, incumbent Democrat Charlie Daniels beats Republican Jim Lagrone, 59 percent to 34 percent. Four weeks ago, Daniels led by 24, now leads by 25.
In the race for Attorney General, Democrat Dustin McDaniel beats Republican Gunner DeLay 53 percent to 36 percent. Four weeks ago, McDaniel led by 18, now leads by 17.
Of the 900 Arkansas adults that were interviewed 9/25/06 - 9/26/06, 753 were registered to vote. Of them, 493 were judged to be "likely" voters.
