Mike Duncan Named Weekend Anchor on Today's THV

Mike Duncan has been named weekend news anchor for Today's THV.

Duncan, who became the station's first ever backpack journalist in June, brings almost 20 years of experience to the position. He will continue as a backpack journalist during the weekdays.

"Mike is an outstanding journalist and his presence will add stability to our weekend anchor desk," said Mark Raines, THV news director.

Since May, Today's THV has been without a regular weekend news anchor. Weekday anchors and reporters have been filling in during that time.

"Many people have stepped up to help us out on the weekend newscasts during the last four months and I'm appreciative of their efforts and commitment," said Raines.

Duncan will join meteorologist Becky Ditchfield and sports anchor Wess Moore on the weekend anchor desk beginning Sept. 30.
