New Poll Shows Beebe's Lead Growing

In an exclusive Survey Arkansas poll conducted by SurveyUSA for Today's THV, Democrat Mike Beebe leads Republican Asa Hutchinson.

Beebe leads with 55 percent to Hutchinson's 38 percent. Since an identical Survey Arkansas poll 6 weeks ago, Beebe has gained seven points and Hutchinson is unchanged. Beebe's lead has increased from 10 to 17 points. Undecideds fell from 14 percent in July to 7 percent in the latest poll.

One thousand Arkansas adults were interviewed between Aug. 27 and 29. Of them, 833 were registered to vote. Of them, 538 were judged to be "likely" voters and are included in the polling data. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.3 percent.
