Governor Huckabee goes to Fort Chaffee Sunday where hundreds and hundreds of Hurricane Katrina evacuees have found refuge.
The evacuees started arriving yesterday afternoon at Fort Chaffee, where they were given food, showers and set up in the military training center's barracks. The governor plans a noon news conference at the fort.
Huckabee said Arkansas likely has 50,000 evacuees in the state and that another 20,000 could be expected. He said he doubts the figure will pass 100,000.
