The Union Rescue Mission (URM) is holding its 3rd Annual Night on the Street to help raise funds and awareness about local homelessness.

URM hopes to raise $75,000 with this event. Each individual participating commits to spend the night on the streets until he/she has raised a minimum of $1,000. Donations can be obtained by calling friends, colleagues, or family.

The event will take place on Thursday, March 11th at the River Market Pavilion from 6 p.m. to midnight.

Financial donations can be mailed to: Union Rescue Mission, Attn: Night on the Street, P.O. Box 164057, Little Rock, AR  72216 or online at www.urmission.org.

Union Rescue Mission helps the victims of domestic violence and the homeless regain their dignity and self-esteem with programs and spiritual guidance to offer hope for the future.

URM and Dorcas House, a ministry of the URM, provide counseling, and crisis intervention to their clients- allowing the support needed to rebuild their lives, as well as emergency services such as food, shelter, clothing, transportation to medical and legal appointments.
