Fundraiser to help Little Rock family

Melissa talks with Coach Tippy McCullough, Katie Escovedo, and Mickey Thomas about the "Miracles for Mary" fundraiser to benefit a special Little Rock teen and her family.

Mary Drake is a student and basketball player at Mount St. Mary Academy in Little Rock. She was severely injured in a car accident back in November 2009. Mary suffered several injuries and still hospitalized today.

The "Miracles for Mary" celebrity basketball game and silent auction will be held Thursday, March 11, at the Jack Stephens Center on UALR's Campus. Doors open at 5:30 P.M. for the silent auction and the game is set to begin at 7:30.

Celebrity players will include Joe Kleine, Corliss Williamson, Scotty Thurman, Clint Stoerner, and Anthony Lucas, as well as favorite local television and radio station personalities!

There are more than 250 auction items to bid on, including gifts baskets, jewelry, weekend getaways, tickets to sporting events, and autographed sports memorabilia.

Tickets for the auction/game are $10 per person. To buy tickets, call 501-247-6831. You can purchase tickets at the door as well.
