Key to losing weight could be in your DNA

Researchers have come up with a simple test that may help determine if a low-fat or a low-carb diet is the better choice for losing weight. Genetic makeup may be the determining factor for dieting success.

All you have to do is have a DNA test.  The study of 138 women found that weight loss of 40 pounds or more could be connected to several genes that regulate how fat and carbs are metabolized.

Another study found that 45% of white women have a low carb genotype while 39% percent have a low fat genotype.

Scientists say a larger study is needed.
