A video that shows boys boxing and girls mud wrestling at a teenage drinking party has Rogers police investigating. Officers are trying to track down who's behind the party.
The Rogers chief of police says they are after the organizer of the event that is now known as "fight night." There are more than 100 current and former Rogers High students seen on a DVD at a party and some of whom are fighting and possibly drinking alcohol. Police believe the party happened May 6th, in a field southwest of Rogers.
After some high school athletes were spotted in the video, the school also got involved, asking students if they'd been drinking. School policy on drinking is on the honor system, with students required only to answer yes or no. Everyone who school officials questioned said they were not drinking and that's as far as officials say this can go.
Rogers High School Principal Bill Stringer says, "It comes down to asking the kid, did you do it? And if they say yes, they're given the suspension. If they say no, and you have nothing else other than that, tell me what to do."
Some parents say they're upset because they say the honor system is teaching students to lie. Police say the DVD of the party was a money-making venture, and they want to prevent a repeat of the incident. In all, about 200 people were at the party.
