Theodis Jordan Smith was convicted Wednesday in Little Rock. He could receive 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000 for being a felon in possession of a firearm. He will be sentenced in March.

Smith was convicted of murder in the November 2005 death of 3-year-old Ladeedra Daniels. He received a 25-year prison sentence in that case this past March.

While police investigated the child's death, the found a loaded revolver near Smith's feet and a shotgun in the house he shared with his wife.

Smith was prohibited from having the firearms because of a March 1996 conviction for robbery in Jefferson County.
