Nicholas Brown, 18, was hospitalized last week after reportedly consuming large amounts of alcohol. The school and the national office of Phi Delta Theta are investigating to see if hazing occurred.

Ashley Tull, the university's senior associate dean of students, says (based on information from authorities) the party Brown attended was hosted at the fraternity house for big brothers and their pledges. He says about 100 people attended and the party was closed to those outside the fraternity.

Bob Biggs, an executive vice president at the fraternity's national office, says Brown's parents told the office that Brown had a blood alcohol level of 0.68.

Biggs says it's against fraternity policy to have alcohol in a fraternity house.
