The Village Commons of Little Rock is hosting two more workshops and luncheons to prepare for cooler weather.
This weekend the workshop is Saturday, November 7th and the focus is "Gardening Basics and Growing in Extreme Weather." Nancy Dockter, with Great Day Natural Produce in Sherwood, will share essentials gardening basics for keeping plants thriving, especially during extreme heat and cold.
A buffet luncheon will run from 12:00 - 1:15 p.m. and the gardening workshop will begin at 1:30 and last until 3:00 p.m.
The cost is $10 per workshop; the buffet-style luncheon is $12 and is prepared by local chefs. If you attend both the luncheon and workshop it is only $20.
All workshops are held at the Gerald House, a newly refurbished early 1900's house serving the community as a resource center and gathering place. It is located on the northwest corner of 12th and Oak Streets.
