Thursday, we first told you about the destruction the tornado caused in East Camden, uprooting trees, damaging homes, the fire training academy and Southern Arkansas University.

But Friday those folks were then hit with a flood. Dee Brian tells THV's Katherina Yancy she received a call from a family member saying water was rushing in her home.

Brian says the water rushed so quickly she only had time to get her mother and pets out of the home.

Police had to close main intersections as water flowed over cars and rushed into businesses. Officials say the flash flooding affected dozens of homes across town, it receded quickly leaving folks with thousands of dollars worth of damage.

Dee Brian adds, "They're pulling up the carpet right now to keep the water from setting in, but everything is wet. We had about three-feet in the home."

The severe weather also made its way to Fordyce and Bearden. Tree service companies are busy helping folks there clear debris off schools and homes.

Camden police says they haven't had flash flooding affect the community since 1997.

The National Weather service is surveying the damage this weekend; they confirm at least two tornadoes touched down. They hit Ouachita and Calhoun counties.
