The National Weather Service will be out this afternoon to confirm whether or not tornadoes touched down in the state.
So far there are no reports of injuries.

Here is the latest from the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management says in Johnson County they had 7 water rescues, 17 to 20 people had to be rescued. We're not sure yet if they were from homes or cars.
Also in Columbia County at the junction of Highway 79 & 82, trees were down. ADEM says there was also damage to a retirement center there and to mobile homes behind the center. No injuries were reported.
ADEM is also reporting that 12 to 15 mobile homes have been destroyed in east Camden. There are no injuries reported.
We've also learned that there is major flooding in the city of Woodson which is in Saline and Pulaski counties.

Storms passing through south Arkansas in advance of a line of heavy rainfall prompted tornado warnings for several counties in the region, and at least one tornado was reported. There were no reports of injuries.
The National Weather Service says flash flooding is likely as a major storm dumps more rain on areas already soaked by weeks of record-setting precipitation. Forecasters say 5 to 7 inches of rain is expected in parts of central and southern Arkansas through late Friday, with the heaviest rain on a line from Salem to Little Rock to Camden. Areas east and west of that boundary should see 3 to 5 inches of rain.
Thursday afternoon, the agency issued tornado warnings for Pulaski, Lonoke, Miller, Lafayette, Union, Calhoun, Ouachita, Grant, Cleveland, Jefferson and Dallas counties in south Arkansas. Shortly before 4 p.m., the Weather Service said a tornado was reported in East Camden, with several trees blown down.
Today's THV has received reports of trees down at SAU Technical College in Camden. The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office reports power lines are down on one of the buildings. Students are waiting until police deem the building safe beore attempting to exit. The college is located on Hwy. 278 in an industrial park area. No injuries have been reported.
Today's THV is also told that there is damage at the Fire Academy in Calhoun County. No injuries have been reported.
The Calhoun County sheriff tells Today's THV that the jail lost power and it is now running on a generator.
Trees blown down and some property damage reported at Frenchport in Ouachita County. No injuries have been reported there.
