Alleged Rape Victim's Father Wants Special Prosecutor On Case

The father of a woman, who claims she was raped by three members of the U-of-A basketball team, is asking for a special prosecutor to take over and look into whether charges should be filed against the students.

The rape allegedly happened on Aug. 27, at a Phi Gamma Delta fraternity party. Washington County prosecutors decided last month not to file charges, saying he didn't have enough evidence.

The woman allegedly admitted she had been drinking and didn't remember much about the night the rape reportedly happened. The petition filed in court Tuesday, though, claims there is DNA evidence to support the woman's claims.
