Jacksonville Animal Services tells Today's THV that the puppies have arrived safely at the St. Francis Animal Sanctuary for rehabilitation.

When the puppies arrived, the golden colored puppy will be all right, and the white one with the damaged legs will walk again, after extensive surgery to both legs costing $2,000 a leg. The puppy also has an abdominal hernia. However, the puppy cannot receive the surgery until it is seven months old.
Jacksonville Animal Services also says that they've received about $600 in donations so far for several abandoned and abused puppies. Still, they need more for operations and continued care.
When workers found the puppies, one of the puppy's back knees had been broken.
Workers found the puppies in a box behind a laundromat. Two puppies were already dead.
Workers add that the puppies are doing very well for now. They've given them their puppy boosters and de-wormed them.
Jacksonville Animal Services says, "We want to thank everyone for their support for these babies."
St. Francis Animal Sanctuary in Vermillion, OH has agreed to take the pups in and rehab them. They will be leaving for Ohio on Oct. 31, but they still need donations for their care.
The Jacksonville Animal Shelter also says it has an overload of smaller breed dogs waiting for a good home.
