Hundreds of projects and thousands of volunteers have been working to make central Arkansas better through community service. Months of service will be celebrated this weekend as Central Arkansas City Fest 2009 takes place.

City Fest 2009 focuses on a "Season of Service" through projects in which you have been involved. On the website you can check out existing projects, share your experiences and get other project news and reports.

The festival itself will be a weekend of fun and appreciation for all hard work by central Arkansans. Head over to the website to get festival information. Event information including times, location and how to get tickets can be found here. You can also check out what artists will be performing throughout the weekend. There will be a family fun zone sponsored by the Veggie Tales, too.

If you are interested in the service projects or want to know how you can still help out, check out the get involved section of the site.

One of the featured speakers of this event is Luis Palau. He will be sharing his message of service and community. He has known the fundamental human need for hope and good news. Check out the website for on Luis Palau.
