October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and organizations across the country are doing their part to promote awareness.

This is the first year for Volley for the Cure which started on Sept. 22nd and ends this weekend. The Fountain Lake Invitational is on Saturday, Oct. 3rd at Fountain Lake High School.

All proceeds from the sales of their t-shirts and air fresheners as well as a campus-wide penny drive will be donated to the Memory Mission Project at Genesis Cancer Center.

The players will be wearing pink jerseys during these games in support of breast cancer awareness and early detection for this disease. They will also be honoring cancer survivors during their games.
