Authorities say 32-year-old Aron Thomas Byrd pleaded guilty in 2003 for stealing from Fayetteville and Springdale libraries mostly DVDs and CDs. He pleaded guilty to theft and was fined and sentenced to probation.

Prosecutors say his probation was revoked because he failed to pay the fines and meet with his probation officer.
Thursday, Byrd pleaded no contest to the revocation and was sentenced to six years in prison.

Police say Byrd admitted checking out the items, removing the library labels and selling them. He told police that he needed the money for groceries.
