The guard says that explosions that are part of regular training for the Army Reserves 489th Engineer Battalion are expected to be heard outside of the training ground. The training is set from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A news release from the guard says the noise could cause some concern and that it wants residents to know that the blasts are part of planned exercises.

The training is planned for Range 27 on the north side of the post near the Cato community.
