State Police spokesman Bill Sadler said troopers and others spent hours trying to catch the hogs.

About 50 of the hogs were put in a pen on the west side of the interstate close to the exchange. About 90 hogs were in the trailer when it overturned and several remained in the trailer.

The huge swine could weigh as much as 800 pounds a piece.
