John Pelphrey and the Arkansas Razorbacks are getting a big boost for the 2009-2010 season. Forward Michael Washington says he is returning to the Hogs.

The 6-9, 239 pounder from McGehee announced last month he was entering his name in the NBA Draft but did not hire an agent. Washington had until June 15th to withdraw his name from the draft.

Washington told Today's THV's Wess Moore over the phone this afternoon he and his family had decided it was in his best interest to return to school. Washington went on to say he was glad to put the decision behind him and it wasn't really a tough decision.

In his first season as a starter, he led the SEC in rebounding (9.8), was ninth in scoring (15.5), third in field goal percentage (.551), eighth in blocked shots (1.3), second in offensive rebounding (3.5) and second in defensive rebounding (6.3).
