The Arkansas Business newspaper reported Wednesday in an article on its website on the plans by Dynamotive Energy Systems Corp. of Vancouver, British Columbia. Don Wales of the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce said about 60 permanent jobs would be created.

The company said its new U.S. subsidiary, Dynamotive USA Inc., had entered a long-term contract to buy sawdust from Springhill Land & Timber of Taylor in Columbia County. Dynamotive said the sawdust will be used as feedstock for a plant that produces a product called BioOil, usable as a replacement for certain heating oils.

No location for the plant has been announced.
