A medical helicopter flying near Forrest City sustained a bird strike that damaged the aircraft. The helicopter landed safely, though the pilot suffered minor injuries.

Officials say the Saturday incident left the helicopter with a busted windshield and a hole in its nose. Much of the large bird was protruding from the hole after the 6 p.m accident.
Baptist Health spokesman Mark Lowman says the helicopter was not forced down but that the pilot chose to land the aircraft.
Two nurses on board the helicopter were unhurt.
The helicopter had delivered a patient to a hospital in Memphis, Tenn., and was returning to Little Rock. The helicopter landed at an intersection several miles east of Forrest City.
Aviation officials are investigating.
