Ramos' relatives say, he was just 18-years-old, but in that time he lived life to the fullest, had a young wife and baby boy.
Monday started out like normal as Pablo Ramos and his uncle Cristobal left their home and went to work together mowing lawns.
Cristobal Ramos says, "He's a nice person all the time laughing."
Cristobal says Pablo came to the U.S. to make a better living for his new wife and a baby boy, Brandon Pablo and planned to visit them in Mexico in 3-weeks.
Cristobal adds, "He says I try and help all my family because he has six more siblings."
Although his dreams of a better opportunity for his family quickly changed, Cristobal recounts what happened Monday.
"We were working together and there was another guy with us. Like 20 or 30-minutes I didn't see him anymore I tried to find him all over the place. I drive another mower trying to find him fast when I turned my face and I didn't see him in the water, but I saw the mower in the water."
Cristobal jumped in the cold water, but couldn't find his nephew. Police quickly arrived and brought in a dive team with sonar. Three days later the divers suspended the search.
Cristobal continues, "Later we saw something in the water and we threw in a rope and hooked and brought him pulled him in."
The family who had kept a constant vigil found 18-year-old Pablo Ramos.
Cristobal shakes his head, "I can't explain to you how hard it is."
Cristobal says the hardest part is Pablo has never met his son and all he talked about was going back home.
Norberto Ramos recalls hearing Pablo's last phone call to his mom. "He said mom in 3 more weeks I'll be there with you. With all my family, my son, my wife, my little brothers. She was crying saying she'll never see him anymore alive."
The Ramos family plans to take Pablo back to Meshakam, Mexico to be buried.
