Suspect Arrested In September Murder In Pine Bluff

Pine Bluff Police have arrested a suspect in a September murder near the UAPB campus.

On the morning of September 9th, the body of Laron Foots was found across Maple Street from the UAPB campus. He had suffered severe trauma to the upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.

On October 28th, 21-year-old Marvin Isby of Holly Grove was arrested on drug related charges at the Crown Inn in Pine Bluff. After being processed at the jail, evidence recovered from Isby was linked to the death of Laron Foots.

Isby was arrested on Probable Cause for Aggravated Robbery and Capital Murder. Isby is being held at the Jefferson County Jail and will have a Probable Cause Hearing Friday before a circuit judge in Jefferson County Court.

Police have not released a motive for the murder.
