This strong economic shot in the arm is like having a factory open up in each of the region?s states! Up to a total of 11,000 people will be on staff during peak times.

?This is the largest non-military mobilization of the workforce in the history of the United States? said Dennis Johnson, Regional Director.

Office Managers and Recruiting Assistants compose the first wave of hires. These are good paying, temporary jobs that range from $23,920 up $60,320 per year according to the position and office location. This is a ?get in on the ground floor? opportunity. The Recruiting Assistants will really have an exciting job because they will work with different groups to hire staff to work in their own neighborhoods. As other census offices open, the Recruiting Assistants will also have a great chance for upward mobility into a managerial job. The Recruiting Assistants will enjoy good pay, get mileage and serve their community.

Staff will work out of eleven Early Local Census Offices (ELCO) located in:

Kansas City, Missouri Des Moines, Iowa
St. Louis, Missouri Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Springfield, Missouri Topeka, Kansas
St. Paul, Minnesota Tulsa, Oklahoma
Duluth, Minnesota Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Little Rock, Arkansas

KCRCC urges interested persons to apply for these jobs by calling the Recruiting Office telephone number at 1-866-861-2010 or click here.
