LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Republican Beth Anne Rankin is trailing rival Tom Cotton in fundraising in the bid for the GOP nomination for a south Arkansas congressional seat.

Rankin on Tuesday reported that she raised $65,904 in the last three months of 2011. Rankin reported $176,520 cash on hand in her bid for the 4th District.

Tom Cotton, a Dardanelle management consultant and Army veteran, reported raising $197,637 during the quarter and says he has $479,006 on hand. Republican Marcus Richmond, a Waldron businessman and Marine veteran, raised $17,017 during the quarter and has $100,914 on hand.

Richmond has loaned his campaign $130,159.

Reports were not available for state Sen. Gene Jeffress and D.C. Morrison, who are seeking the Democratic nomination. Democratic Congressman Mike Ross announced last year he would not seek re-election.
