Dawn was a THV anchor/reporter from 1995-2002. In 2002, she moved to Seattle, Washington, where she was a reporter/fill-in anchor for CBS affiliate KIRO-TV. Her experience also includes stops in Sioux City, Iowa, where she anchored and reported, and in Chicago, where she worked as a research assistant on the assignment desk.

Dawn won a 2007 Edward R. Murrow award and was recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists for a piece she produced on colleague, Chief Meteorologist Ed Buckner's struggle with Tourette Syndrome.   Her live reporting and anchoring also helped the THV staff win 2 EMMY awards.  She has received six Arkansas Associated Press awards for her news reporting. In Seattle, she won a Best of the West award for her coverage of breaking news.

She has interviewed First Lady Laura Bush, covered President Bill Clinton's 1996 re-election, and reported live from the 40th & 50th anniversaries of the Crisis at Central High. She has interviewed several victims' families of the notorious Green River Killer in Western Washington, covered the D.C. sniper case from Seattle, and has been recognized for numerous investigative stories.

Currently, Dawn produces the station's "A Place to Call Home" segments, which feature Arkansas children up for adoption.  She is also responsible for the "THV Insider," which examines media and provides an inside look at the guiding principles of journalism which drive decision-making in the THV newsroom.

Dawn is on the Board of Directors for Central Arkansas' Women and Children First, which operates a shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children.  She has an advisory role at Safe Places, an organization that helps victims of sexual assault, child abuse, and family violence.  She also serves on the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness.  Additionally, she is television spokeswoman for the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign, a role she has filled for the past four years.

Dawn has repeatedly been voted "Best News Anchor" by readers of the Arkansas Times and "Best Anchor" by readers of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

She attended Hall High School in Little Rock and graduated from Northwestern University in Chicago.  She lives in Little Rock, and in her spare time, you'll find her swimming, running, practicing yoga, or chasing her two toddlers.
