LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A renowned geriatrician and television series host will be leaving his position as executive director at The Longevity Center at St. Vincent.

It was announced Tuesday that Dr. David Lipschitz will leave the hospital Feb. 29 to pursue other career endeavors. St. Vincent Health System president Peter Banko said in a news release that the hospital and Lipschitz couldn't reach a mutual agreement for their relationship to continue.

Officials say The Longevity Center at St. Vincent has grown to more than 25,000 office visits per year with patients age 50 and older from throughout the state of Arkansas.

Lipschitz also is known for national and international lectures on the aging process, and has completed a 26-part series called "Aging Successfully with Dr. David" with the Arkansas Education Television Network.
