UALR women's basketball continues conference action Wed.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (UALR Athletics) - After a three game home stand, the UALR women's basketball team hits the road to take on Louisiana-Lafayette Wednesday. Tip-off for the game is set for 7 p.m. Live broadcast can be heard on KARN 920 AM with Phil Elson.

UALR enters the game 12-11 overall and 7-3 in Sun Belt Conference action after defeating ULM 52-46 on Wednesday. In that game, freshman Taylor Gault led the team in points with 19, while senior Marian Kursh and sophomore Taylor Ford each contributed nine points. Kursh also led the team in rebounds with 11.

Overall for the UALR Trojans, Gault leads the team in points averaging 16.3 per game, while Kursh averages a team-high 8.1 rebounds per contest. In Sun Belt action, Gault leads the team averaging 16.4 points per game, while senior Britteni Williams averages a team-high 8.2 boards per game.

Louisiana-Lafayette enters the game 5-18 overall and 0-11 in the Sun Belt. The Ragin' Cajuns have lost the past 13 games including the last on February 4 at Troy 58-52.

Overall for the Ragin' Cajuns, Krystal Motley leads the team in points averaging 13.4 per game, while Josie West averages a team-high 5.2 boards per game.

UALR leads the all-time series record over UL 11-8. The Trojans have won the past nine meetings including the last on January 18, 2012 at The Jack Stephens Center 56-45.

The last win for the Ragin' Cajuns over the Trojans was on December 28, 2006 in Lafayette 65-61.
