Do you take aspirin daily?
UNDATED (CBS) -- Millions of Americans take an aspirin everyday to prevent a heart attack but new research finds it may increase the risk of blindness.
The study out of the Netherlands found people over 64 years old who took a daily aspirin had double the risk of developing age related macular degeneration.
The disease is caused when abnormal blood vessels bleed into the center of the eye. Researchers say the finding needs to be confirmed and people who currently take aspirin daily should not stop.
