Baptist Health Regal Regatta

Grande Maumelle Sailing Club on Lake Maumelle
Baptist Health Regal Regatta., a day of sailboat racing and family festivities, will take place Oct. 15 at the Grande Maumelle Sailing Club on Lake Maumelle.
Enjoy a leisurely cruise on Lake Maumelle, challenge yourself to a racing competition or just come to observe. No experience is necessary.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., sailing at 9:30 a.m., and lunch and awards at 12:30 p.m.
Observation tickets are $25. Crew member tickets are $50. Sponsorships are available.
Proceeds will be used to purchase a Giraffe OmniBed for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock. These special beds provide a womb-like environment so that developing babies can endure less disruption and stress.
Pinnacle Mountain Rendezvous
Saturday, Oct. 15, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 16, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Step back in time with mountain men, American Indians and pioneers for a fall Rendezvous. Lots of food, music and fun will be awaiting your whole family! Event is from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sat. and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sun. Admission is free, but there is a fee for parking. For info: (501) 868-5806.
Scimitar Shriners' Temple of Terror
Friday & Saturday, 7 p.m. - midnight
The 3rd Annual Temple of Terror is one of the largest in the state. Come get spooked Oct. 13-15, Oct. 20-22 or Oct. 24-31. There is also a carnival with not-so-scary rides for younger children. Hours are from 7-10 p.m. Mon.-Thurs. and from 7 p.m.-midnight Fri.-Sat. Admission is $10 per person. For info: 565-5992.
