UNDATED (CNN) - Surfing canines hit the waves in southern California. It's all a part of a surf dog competition.
Scores are based on the dog's confidence level and how well they ride the waves. The winners don't leave empty handed. The top dogs get a free pet vacation at a resort.
A Massachusetts family feared they would never see their dog again after a tornado ripped through their neighborhood last week. Days after the twister, their dog, Shadow, showed up much to their relief.
"He just jumped all over us and licked us and he's doing great," his owner Audrey Carabetta says. "He's tired and hungry but besides that he's in great shape."
Someone found shadow under the roof of a house that was destroyed. His family now calls him super dog.
A 9-year-old New Mexico boy is setting records. Bobby Bradley became the youngest person ever to pilot an ultra-light hot air balloon by himself on Saturday.
Bobby worked hard to get ready for his big moment. He practiced for more than 30 hours.
