OIL TROUGH, Ark. (AP) -- The latest round of severe weather yanked down power lines and trees in parts of northeast Arkansas, and a lightning strike likely caused a fire at a power substation nearby.

Dispatchers in Independence and Jackson counties reported downed power lines and debris on Wednesday. There weren't any immediate reports of injuries.

An Entergy spokesman also says a fire likely caused by a lightning strike was burning at a breaker in a substation near downtown Newport. The fire did not cut out power to Entergy customers.

The National Weather Service issued tornado and thunderstorm warnings into Wednesday evening. This latest bout of severe weather comes after storms killed four people overnight in the western part of the state.
