UNDATED (CBS) -- Your child's lunch at school is about get healthier. First Lady Michelle Obama and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack are visiting a Virginia elementary school to announce new nutrition standards for school lunches.

The new rules are the first major change to school lunches in 15 years. Meals are expected to have less sodium, more whole grains and more fruits and vegetables. The guidelines are also expected to limit the total number of calories in a single meal and require that milk served be low in fat.

The new rules aren't as aggressive as the Obama administration wanted. Congress last year blocked some changes that would have limited french fries and pizzas.
