Kristie Rosset has always made a point to travel with her girlfriends, so when she opened a bed and breakfast on Lake Hamilton, she made sure to feature a girls' getaway package.

"I have traveled with my girlfriends for years. We make a point to go every year. We love bed and breakfasts, so we created on for our guests," says Rosset.

Lookout Point Lakeside Inn, with its beautiful landscaping, is perfect for the girls.

Some enjoy walking the labyrinth, others just relaxing in the rooms, all of which include one piece of fine art.

"We include the thermal mineral water, the spa, we have chocolates everywhere. We really pamper our guests," adds Rosset.

The spa city is the perfect destination for ladies for that very reason, the spas.

This is the newly renovated Quapaw Bathhouse. After being closed for dozens of years, it took $2 million to restore.

Jeanenne Herr with the Quapaw Bathhouse, says, "It's going beautifully. We couldn't ask for better. Our first month, we saw 2, 000 people, so we got off to a great start."

Private services range in price form $45 to $215, but a day in the big pools will only cost you $15. "Family groups, reunions, it's just a great area for large groups to get together. It's the most affordable bath in Hot Springs," says Herr.

Of course it wouldn't be a complete girls' trip without shopping. We are here on Central Avenue where there are all kinds of shops directly across from the bathhouses.

Business owners say they get all kinds of ladies' groups from church retreats to college reunions. The Embassy Suites Hotel comes with its own spa boasting convenience for women to relax.

Pam Crow, the Embassy Suites Spa Manager, says, "They don't have to get dressed up; we even have robes and slippers here, so they can wear them back to the room."

The all-suite style hotel rooms have pull-out couches. Ladies can even enjoy free breakfast in the atrium. "I had a group of ladies that live in all parts of the U.S., they all came together here. What a better place? We're in The Spa City," adds Crow.

Back at the lookout, Kristie Rosset says local women come to escape the kids and busyness of life. Others come to just reconnect as only the best of girlfriends can do. Rosset says, "We did it so women can get away from all the stress and pressure they have in their lives."

Hot Springs and all that it offers for a girls' getaway is just another reason to be amazed by Arkansas again.
