About the Department of
Arkansas Heritage

Since 1975, the Department of Arkansas Heritage has been promoting and coordinating the discovery, preservation and presentation of Arkansas's natural and cultural resources.

The department's seven agencies include the Arkansas Arts Council, Arkansas Historic Preservation Program, Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission, Delta Cultural Center, Historic Arkansas Museum, the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center and the Old State House Museum.
