Dawn Scott returned home to Little Rock in November 2006 as a primary anchor for Today's THV. She currently anchors the 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. newscasts.

Dawn was a THV anchor/reporter from 1995-2002. In 2002, she moved to Seattle, Washington, where she was a reporter/fill-in anchor for CBS affiliate KIRO-TV. Her experience also includes stops in Sioux City, Iowa, where she anchored and reported, and in Chicago, where she worked as a research assistant on the assignment desk.

Dawn recently won a 2007 Edward R. Murrow award and was recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists for a piece she produced on colleague, Chief Meteorologist Ed Buckner's struggle with Tourette Syndrome. Her live reporting and anchoring also helped the THV staff win 2 EMMY awards. She received six Arkansas Associated Press awards for her news reporting. In Seattle, she won a Best of the West award for her coverage of breaking news.

She has interviewed First Lady Laura Bush, covered President Bill Clinton's 1996 re-election, and reported live from the 40th & 50th anniversaries of the Crisis at Central High. She has interviewed several victims' families of the notorious Green River Killer in Western Washington, covered the D.C. sniper case from Seattle, and has been recognized for numerous investigative stories.

Currently, Dawn produces the station's THV Insider segments, which examine media and provide an inside look at the guiding principles of journalism which drive decision-making in the THV newsroom.

Dawn is on the Board of Directors for Central Arkansas' Women and Children First, which operates a shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children. She also serves on the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness. Additionally, she is television spokeswoman for the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign, a role she has filled for the past two years.

Dawn has repeatedly been voted Best News Anchor by readers of the Arkansas Times and Best Anchor by readers of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

She attended Hall High School in Little Rock and graduated from Northwestern University in Chicago. In her spare time, you'll find her swimming, running, practicing yoga, or cycling. She completed the Seattle "Escape from the Rock" Triathlon and the Seattle Half-Marathon. She lives in Little Rock with her husband and two children.
